Conditional space. Occupation and ownership to define empty space is fascinating. I seek to question the artist's control of space and viewer's interaction in that space. Property and ownership,in focus vs. hidden, public vs. private, these constructions strongly present how the creation of physical and non-physical boundaries can shape our everyday interactions with present reality. I allow and create certain conditions through participating in the making of the object which affects the outcome of my work. Aesthetically, conditional space is a process oriented spacial response and the allowance of clay to just be clay.
